Walking is fundamental to humanity. Our ability to walk upright on two feet helped our hominid ancestors emerge from the plains of Africa millions of years ago. Walking often marks many of our human milestones; a baby's first steps, walking across the stage during graduation to receive a diploma, or a walking down the aisle on wedding day. Walking is natural, we were born to do it. Walking is something we often take for granted, until we can no longer do it. Walking is free. Walking is pleasurable.
